Hi this is Sarah! This is my first blog entry. So far, I've been in charge of the scrapbook, but Troy taught me how to use this last week.
There are some times when I feel so homesick and I miss my whole family so much. But I'm really glad that I've been able to stay in touch with everyone via phone. Even though I'm so far from you guys I feel like I'm still a part of everyone's life. Next year I'll bring a laptop so we can keep in touch on the much talked about Skype.
It's amazing that we only have 5 months and 25 days left on our contract! Although I miss my family everyday- we've had a lot of amazing experiences. We've gone on four camping trips, six weekend trips-including a bachelorette party in Seoul, and to the Philippines. We've seen 600 year old Buddhist temples, 400 year old Catholic churches, and 7 different UNESCO protected heritage sites. We've played beach volleyball, American football, soccer, and participated in the Olympics. We've played Texas Hold 'Em using toothpicks as chips (every Sunday night), made a miniature golf course, and of course Wii. We've been skiing (the runs are amazing!), ice skating, and hiking. We've made the noribang (a karaoke bar) and the jinju bang (a hot tub bar) part of our lives.
Currently Troy and I are learning the ancient Korean martial art "Tekyen." I'm mastering the sword and getting a rough upper body workout. I'm also training for IronMan tryouts in August, so please wish me luck or send me some Creatine if you feel so inclined.
Thanks for reading my little update and have an amazing week!
Love, Sarah
