The Joy of Cooking with Sarah Teacher

Last week, our cooking lesson was based around this wonderful food called "Kimbap" - which means Seaweed (Kim) and Rice (Bap).

It looks a little bit like sushi to most westerners, but has a much different taste, and is much cheaper.

Most Kimbap that is made has:

Seaweed for wrapping
Rice
Cucumber
Radish
Ham

However, you can put many things in the middle, such as Bulgogi (a nicely flavored beef), or Kimchi (pickled cabbage covered in pepper paste), or tuna.

Sarah took pictures of all the rolling fun in cooking class last week. When you're all done making kimbap, you can eat it with your hand, or cut it into small circles and eat with chopsticks.

We decided to go with the more "hands-on" approach.

This is Sarah's classroom teacher, "Pinocchio Teacher". She's a very sweet lady.

These are all Sarah's kids, enjoying their wonderfully made kimbap.

Mashi-soyo!

Hope everyone is well back home. We'll be there soon!
