The first place is: Manila
After going to the bus terminal at 12:30 a.m. and catching the 1:30 a.m. bus from Gwangju to Incheon International Airport, and arriving at 5:00 a.m. and waiting for our 8:30 a.m. flight to Manila, we finally arrived. The weather was a perfect 83 degrees (28 degrees Celsius), warm and sunny.
Sarah's Aunt, Tita Lily, picked us up from the airport and took us to the most amazing place in the world:
A buffet with american style food. After filling up on beef, lamb, noodles, fruits, and vegetables, oh with some sweet desserts on the side, we went to Tita Lily's house and stayed the first 2 days of our trip with her. She took Sarah and I on a shopping trip for clothes and shoes.
For the first time in my life, I got a 1 hour massage. It felt quite nice, and I got addicted to them real quick.
On the 2nd day, we visited with Sarah's Uncle, Uncle Harry, and his wife, Aunt Mylah, and their 2 children, Hammie and Bianca. Once again, we had a lot of good food, and went around sight seeing. The first place on our day of sight seeing was St. Augustin's church, in Intramuros and it is over 400 years old. Nothing in the U.S.A. is that old, and it is a very beautiful church.
Across the street in Intramuros is an old-style home, which was modeled after an 1800's home in Manila. There is a courtyard with a beautiful fountain, and when we were there, a wedding reception was going to take place. Looks very romantic, yes?
And of course, a big kitchen with Uncle Harry and Hammie.
We said our goodbyes later on, and Sarah and I got well rested for the next leg of our trip....Cebu.
