Cebu!!!
We left Manila on the 30th of December and arrived in Cebu to vacation with Sarah's aunts, uncle, and cousins from her Mom Mercy's side. 16 in all. They are an amazingly fun family!
We arrived at 11am but they weren't scheduled to arrive until 6pm. But Aunt Emy told us to go to the Hilton and check in to one of their four suites. Sarah and I decided we should just hang out, swim in the ocean, eat some more food, and relax till they arrived. We met them for dinner at her Aunt Emy's friend's home. Good ol' Lechon, roasted pig, was served, along with so many other Philippine delicacies.
After dinner, we all got around the TV and did some Karaoke. The Chavez clan has some amazing voices and they all put Sarah and I to shame. "Oh the Shark Bite.......has such teeth dear......and he keeps them.....Pearly White...."
I was very seriously singing "Surfin' USA", I think.
The next day, January 31st, was a fun-filled day where Sarah and I traveled along with:
Tita Lourdes,Tita Emy,Tito Tito,Tito Tony,Tito Ramon,Tita Nidge,Tito Raul,Kuya Dodi,Tita Daisy,Tita Christy,Ate (pronounced "A-teh") April,Dr. Ate Mitzy,Ate Trixie,Denise,Aika,and,Lyle
Tita:Aunt
Tito:Uncle
Kuya:older brother/cousin
Ate: older sister/cousin

Here is the view of the ocean from Tita Lourdes's room.

This is us at Magellan's Cross.
Here we are at the site where Lapau-Lapau defeated Magellan.
Here is the statue of the great Lapau-Lapau.
We also went to Beverly Hills, Cebu, and saw a great Taoist shrine. Very beautiful place, and it goes very high, so you can see over the entire city.
Chavez family, we loved spending two days with you in Cebu! Thank you so much for all of your kindness, especially Tita Emy and Tita Lourdes.
Take care!
- Troy and Sarah
