Mokpo with our co-teachers

During our first week of teaching, we had to go to Mokpo, the closest big city to Jindo, to get our alien cards. Mr. Kim (on the left), my co-teacher at Soekgyo Middle School, and Mr. Hang(on the right), Sarah's co-teacher at Jindo Middle school, accompanied us on the trip.

We had a fun time hanging out with them. After we got our alien cards, Mr. Kim gave us a small tour of Mokpo. He used to live there before he came to Jindo. We went to a coffee house along the sea bay, and enjoyed the rest of our day.

We really enjoy our co-teachers. They are funny, helpful, caring people. We are actually having meals with them on a regular basis now. We are getting to know their families, and we are becoming a part of their lives too.

Here are some pictures of us on the day trip to Mokpo.

We miss you guys!

It makes me happy to know you two are over there having such a wonderful time. . . It sounds like you are making some great new friends, and some fantastic impact on the classroom culture. . . YOU GO! ! !

Can't wait to see what comes next in the episode of "As the Island Turns" ;-) I'm keeping up since i'm on line again, but I AM still lazy. . . lol

Love you two too ;-)
