The story is that when Japan seized control of Korea years ago, they brought the Cherry Blossom tree with them. Jinhae has over 100,000 cherry blossom trees planted throughout the city and on the mountains. They are now government protected, so no one can cut them down or transplant them.
Sarah was very happy to make it to Jinhae to see this. She's been wanting to see them for months!
We had a romantic day together, walking around, looking at the city, and we also got to catch an amazing Acrobatic Show. One of the neatest things we did was climb up to a buddhist shrine that was 365 steps to the top and saw the mountains covered in the trees!
What a nice day it was. I think we'll do it again next year!
